Dr. Martens has plenty in store for shoppers this April when it will pay homage to its British heritage. Not only did the first of the month, April Fool's Day, see the brand celebrate 57 years since the first pair rolled off the production line back in 1960, but DMs will also be making a special nod to St. George's Day on 23rd April.
For SS17, Dr. Martens has taken inspiration from the legendary tale of Saint George slaying a mythical dragon, and have created a capsule collection that includes footwear, clothing and accessories.
The iconic Dr. Martens Style of the 1460 eight-eye boot and 1461 three-eye shoes have been wrapped in an all-over digital print on a smooth, pigmented leather called Backhan, which portrays the English Patron Saint. The same print has been used on two of the Dr. Martens classic bag silhouettes - the small leather backpack and 11" leather satchel.
