Introducing Dr. Martens x Engineered Garments: A tribute to our shared love of sophisticated utilitarianism, this collaboration elevates the 1461 with an asymmetric design and Ghillie lacing in muted, military-inspired hues - just like the first pair of Doc's seen by Engineered Garments founder Daiki Suzuki.
Named after a patternmaker's comment that each piece seems engineered rather than designed, the NY-based label is renowned for its technical acumen, an unwavering commitment to fine detail and unparalleled craftsmanship. True to form, Suzuki's influence shines through in the shoe with gimping detailing and part traditional, part Ghillie loop eyelets. This limited-edition shoe is hand-crafted in our Northamptonshire factory, and features Dr. Martens DNA like grooved sides, yellow stitching, branded heel-loop, and our classic Smooth leather. Best of all, the Archive EG's iconic air-cushioned sole is secured using one of the finest methods of construction: the Goodyear Welt. This shoe comes with gold-embossed sock liner, a bespoke box and special-edition cotton tote.
